About Our Studio
Welcome, we are Courtney and Nicole, the owners and founders of Jeté Dance Center. JDC was created in 2024 by two best friends turned sisters-in-law. We uphold family values and believe being moms has helped shape us into better educators. Both coming from studio backgrounds, we have trained, performed, and competed most of our lives. We created a safe space to nurture the art we love so much. As teachers, we offer structured and personal education. We train our dancers in classical technique and create performers that exude passion and confidence.

What We Offer
Jeté Dance Center offers a safe and fun learning environment that fosters confidence and self-esteem. Whether you are looking to dance as a recreation or would like to pursue a professional career, we can assist you in achieving your goals. Our discipline, creativity, and passion will inspire dancers of all ages.
Each class is designed and personalized to the dancers that are in them. Every student is unique, and our goal is to help you become your best. We pride ourselves on a controlled class setting where each dancer is a priority. JDC believes the lessons you learn in the studio will benefit character development and life skills.

Tap: Comfortable dance attire. No pants that drag on the floor and no jeans. Feet must be visible. Tap shoes required.
It is extremely important to only wear tap shoes on the dance floor. Concrete or other hard surfaces will scratch the metal tap, which in turn will scratch the studio dance floor.
Hip-Hop: Comfortable clothing. No jeans, no skirts, no boots, no flip flops, no elevated shoes of any sort. Sneakers mandatory. Baggy clothing acceptable. Must still be dance or active wear attire, no street clothes.
Jazz/Contemporary/Lyrical: Any style leotard or dance/athletic attire such as leggings, shorts, sports bras, tight fitted t-shirts. No clothing may be worn to obstruct the view of the body (i.e. baggy shirts/pants). Jazz shoes are required for jazz class.
Placement
Students will be placed in classes according to age and ability level. The instructor reserves the right to move a student to another class based on what is best for that dancer, their maturity, and work ethic in class.
Unfortunately, we cannot place dancers in classes to accommodate family schedules or carpools.
Attendance
Students are asked to arrive on time. Students more than 15 minutes late will not be allowed in class as it is disruptive to your fellow dancers. You may be asked to sit and watch the remainder of the class.
Absences and tardies have adverse effects:
Students who are late or absent miss valuable training/learning time.
Excessive class absences may result in not performing in the Summer Showcase.
Make Up Classes:
A limit of one make-up class is offered per month and you must schedule the make-up class yourself in the parent portal.
A makeup class can be taken in the same month that a class was missed. To arrange a makeup class, please notify the instructor when you arrive that you are making up a class.
If a student is sick (including any fevers), please do not attend class. We do not want the dancer to get worse or transmit the illness to their classmates. If the student is not contagious and would still like to come and observe class, please email the studio.
Arrival/Departure
Parents and/or guardians must come into the studio to pick up the students younger than 7 years of age. We appreciate parents arriving a few minutes before class ends in order to wait for their dancer to come out of class. No student should leave the studio without a parent or guardian. We are very sensitive to students’ whereabouts and their safety; however, Jeté Dance Center will not be held responsible for your child.
Any student left unattended at the studio for longer than 30 minutes before or after the class they have registered for will be charged as if they attended an additional dance class. The same holds true for siblings. Do not leave siblings unattended at the studio.
Lobby Etiquette
Parents and family are not allowed to sit inside the classroom at any time, but welcome to view classes on a weekly basis from the viewing window in the lobby. Please refrain from interrupting class and do no walk into the classroom during class time. Videotaping of classes will not be permitted, unless the instructor says otherwise.
Communication
Instructors are available to speak with you by appointment only.
We know how important it is to work together to make sure that each student is progressing along in skills and confidence, but conferencing in between classes or at the end of the evening is not effective and distracts the teacher from starting the next class. Please email your instructor to schedule an appointment. Instructors will respond within 24 hours.
